Mezzo soprano Hailey McAvoy is joined by pianist Bethany Pietroniro for a voyage through Aaron Copland’s Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson. Hailey McAvoy thrilled our audience last season by sharing the documentary she crafted featuring the music of George Hubbard Miller. It’s a delight to celebrate her “in person” Downtown Music debut. Bethany Pietroniro has appeared in concert at Alice Tully Hall, the Morgan Library. Recent collaborative projects include the premiere of composer Julio Friedmann’s Fried Cycle, presented in a virtual recital with mezzo-soprano Hailey McAvoy.
